Jon Choi, the Director and Principal Credit Advisor at Mortgage Choice in Hunters Hill & Ryde, is a Justice of the Peace for NSW, and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).  Whether you're a seasoned property investor or a first-time investor building your portfolio, Jon will guide you towards wealth creation and financial freedom.  With over 15 years of experience in the Australian agribusiness sector, Jon is also an agribusiness finance specialist.  Discover more about our dedicated team below.

Originally from Los Angeles and ethnically Chinese, Jon always had a keen interest in finance.  After graduating from university, he started his career in commercial real estate investments before spending 12 years as Managing Director of a private agribusiness investment company.
 
Jon is an avid fan of property investing and owns a portfolio of investment properties - so he knows exactly what his customers need from their finance.  Apart from being a licensed mortgage & finance broker, Jon is a Justice of the Peace in NSW. 
 
Jon is a professional member of the:
 
  • Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA)
  • Real Estate Instute of NSW (REINSW)
  • A  Justice of the Peace in and for the state of New South Wales (JP)
  • Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD)
 
Jon is a Justice of the Peace in and for the State of New South Wales and offers J.P. services to his local community.  
 
Fun fact: Jon enjoys cattle trading and also owns multiple premium butcher shops throughout Sydney.  He is also a qualified private pilot in the US.  When he's not helping clients, Jon enjoys exercising at the gym or going to the beach with his wife and kids.

Alvin Zhang

Alvin Zhang

Alvin Zhang joins the Mortgage Choice Hunters Hill & Ryde team as a Senior Advisor.  He is a highly experienced financial professional who is a CPA Australia member, a registered tax agent, and an ASIC agent.

He holds a postgraduate degree in accounting from Macquarie University and has a strong background in tax & auditing, having previously worked as an auditor at KPMG.

As a business owner, a father of two, and a property investor, Alvin understands first hand the challenges of securing investment loans, home loans, and commercial finance. With his deep expertise, he specialises in providing tailored solutions to meet diverse customer requirements and works closely with Jon to help clients achieve their financial goals. 

Alvin is also the principal accountant of a boutique accounting firm in Sydney, where he leads a team of highly skilled CPA and CA accountants, offering expert financial, tax, and business advisory services.

Originally from Henan, China, Alvin is fluent in Mandarin, enabling him to assist a diverse client base with their financial requirements.

In his free time, Alvin enjoys researching astronomy and capturing celestial wonders through astrophotography with his telescope.

Hayley Wyatt

Senior Loan Processor 

Hayley has extensive knowledge of the financial services industry with over 15 years in Financial planning. Nicknamed "The Pocket Rocket" for being extremely focused, motivated, fast-paced and results-driven, Hayley prides herself on getting loans applications processed and moving through to settlement in record time. To build and gain a better understanding of clients and their needs, Hayley has completed a Diploma in Financial Planning and currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Psychology. 

Fun fact: Hayley is an avid hiker and completed the Kokoda Trail in 2019. When she's not speeding through loan submissions, you will find Hayley at the beach or hiking with her extremely spoilt fur-baby, Midgey the Griffon.

Vikrant is an individual driven by a relentless pursuit of meeting his goals and consistently exhibit an ability to deliver exceptional customer service. With his unwavering dedication to assisting clients in realizing their objectives, which is fueled by a genuine passion for making a positive impact for the clients, his customer centric approach allows his team and clients easy and approachable access to his expertise and guidance whenever needed.

Clients can rely on Vikrant's wealth of expertise in the loan process & bank credit policies to ensure that their loan file is assessed accurately and thoroughly, so as to ensure maximum possibility for a success outcome.  

Fun fact: Outside of work,  Vikrant finds enjoyment in playing squash and holds a great passion for cricket.
